Education

Since 2009, PMW has organized workshops and conferences in which thousands of people have been trained, both in Poland
and abroad. We organize training events tailored to the expectations of the participants and open sessions aimed at physicians, scientists, investigators, and the marketing, medical, clinical, drug registration and safety departments of pharmaceutical companies. Our training is performed objectively and is characterized by high-quality content.

courses AND workshops

PMW offers courses in English and Polish that will take you through every step of publishing in high-impact medical journals.
We can teach you the fundamentals necessary for writing excellent scientific papers and show you how to calculate the statistics required to convey your results efficiently and effectively. We can even prepare you for submitting your paper and interacting with your journal’s editors.

We also invest in giving you the skills you need to succeed, even though others overlook some of these vital competencies.
That’s why with PMW you can learn how to speak in public with confidence and fluency, present with authority, and create conference posters that will engage your target audience – we will guide you all the way from concept to printout.
Our training groups are kept small and interactive, with more than half our courses offering practical activities, case studies
and exercises designed to simulate real-world experience.

As you might expect, we value expertise and experience, and that’s why our lecturers are specialists. They have extensive experience in scientific presentation at multinational conferences, symposia and other meetings; as the authors of many publications, they are experts in academic writing and the preparation of formal medical documentation. Our Medical Writing training program was inspired by Dr. Stephen Lock. The former editor of the British Medical Journal (1975 – 1991),
Dr. Lock is a medical doctor and educator of outstanding international reputation and an author and reviewer of many texts
on medical journalism. Since 2009, we have had close collaboration with Dr. John Carpenter. Dr. Carpenter’s extraordinary career has included serving as a professor at the University of Manchester, as a board member of the European Medical Writers Association (EMWA) and as co-author of the European guidelines for peer review in medical papers. Most PMW trainers
hold PhD degrees and are either professional medical writers, who have spent many years in research and have written publications, or active researchers who are keen to share their knowledge and experience.

PMW understands that clear science communication is crucial however it is delivered. Whether your focus is on developing
your writing or on your presentation skills, our expert-led courses offer you the opportunity to learn how best to share
your research with the people you most want to reach.
